A group of us played this and the Pasha in sept 2009. I have to say this is a gem of a golf course. What a test.... hard is not the word , one of our party lost 10 balls in a round on here. WATER is in play on 13 holes, not little streams but real water hazards... massive lakes which cut in to the greens on several holes. If you want to test your level of play .. this course is a must.
a good round means you tee off with the same ball and putt out on the last green with the same ball, a feat not many of our group managed on the 3 times we played this course in the week.
this course must have one of the hardest finishing stretches in golf.The whole course is worth playing if only for the 16th & 18th holes they are magnificent.
i can not rate this course high enough having played all around the world including many championship courses i have to rate this in my top 5 courses.
the condition and layout are fantastic.
i would recommend this course as a buggie course to any player to maximise your consentration and strength on the golf ... as you will certainly need it.
at the conclusion of your round either on the PGA Sultan or its sister course the Pasha a small tip to the buggie boys ensures your clubs are fully cleaned and placed on to the bus. They are a wealth of knowledge and only to willing to assist you.
THIS COURSE IS A MUST VISIT.
we have re-booked for sept 2010 to give several of our party time to save up for a stock of new balls... ha ha !!

Have to say definitely the best course I have played on. The course was in
absolutely stunning condition the smallest gripe was the teeing areas were a little bit worse for wear but couldn't give anything other than 10 for the overall condition of the course. A fantastic layout and although expensive well worth the money to enjoy.
Definitely will be on the itinary for next year.
